Duspatalin® is commonly used for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome, regional enteritis, disease of the gallbladder, disease of gall ducts, gastric and duodenal ulcers, dysentery and other conditions.

How should I take Duspatalin® (Mebeverine Hydrochloride)?

Try to take the tablet 20 minutes before a meal. Some people find their symptoms to be strongest after they have eaten.
Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew the tablet.

How do I store Duspatalin® (Mebeverine Hydrochloride)?

Duspatalin® is best stored at room temperature away from direct light and moisture. To prevent drug damage, you should not store Duspatalin® in the bathroom or the freezer. Swelling of face, neck, tongue or throat (severe allergic reactions).

These other effects are less serious.

Skin rash, red itchy skin.

What is the dose of Duspatalin® (Mebeverine Hydrochloride) for an adult?

Adults and the elderly:

Take 1 tablet 3 times a day.
The number of tablets you take can be lowered if your symptoms improve.
Do not take more than 3 tablets per day.

Do not give Duspatalin® 135mg tablets to children or adolescents younger than 18 years.

In case of an emergency or an overdose, call your local emergency services (115) or go to your nearest emergency room.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

If you miss a tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
