What is Albothyl® used for?

Albothyl® is commonly used for local treatment of cervicovaginal inflammations or infections and tissue damage.

How should I take Albothyl®?

Albothyl® is recommended to use in the evening. Firstly, the suppository is moistened with water and introduced deep into the vagina, preferably in the supine position. The additional use of a sanitary towel to avoid soiling of clothing and bedding.

Also, the doctor recommends that the duration of use depends on the nature and severity of the condition.

How do I store Albothyl®?

Albothyl® is best stored in the refrigerator. To prevent drug damage, do not freeze. There may be different brands of Albothyl® that may have different storage needs. It is not recommended for use in patients under the age 18 and postmenopausal women.

Besides, avoid sexual intercourse for 7 days after using Albothyl® vaginal suppositories.

What is the dose of Albothyl® for an adult?

1 vaginal suppository every other day for 7-14 days.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose of Albothyl®, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your regular dose as scheduled. Do not take a double dose.
